One fateful day, the younger unicorn refused to lower the moon to make way for the dawn. The elder sister tried to reason with her, but the bitterness in the young one's heart had transformed her into a wicked mare of darkness: Nightmare Moon.

The moment Luna turns into Nightmare Moon as depicted in the Elements of Harmony. This is my part of the Pony Quilt Project Everfree 2014 featuring many plush makers from DA. The square is made from custom printed 100% cotton, mouliné cotton embroidery floss, a velvet applique and Swarovski rhinestones plus metal studs for the eye and tears.

Finally done with this. I wanted to go for a tapestry-style square. While I'm satisfied with the results I have to say I definitely bit off more than I can chew. This being the most requested square I felt quite antsy and didn't want to disappoint anyone, especially after seeing the awesome squares adamlhumphreys and Nazegoreng made. I picked up several techniques just for this project and had to spend more time on it than I'm willing to admit. But hey, it's for charity!
